Creep, Rattle, Cackle!

Halloweeen Rhymes, Frights & Hidden Delights.

Halloween has a long history of strange traditions, spooky stories and things that go bump in the night. Creep, Rattle, Cackle! begins with a child-friendly introduction to Halloween and its roots in the ancient festival of Samhain, before opening the door to a collection of funny, creepy and mischievous rhymes.

Each rhyme introduces a different Halloween favourite. Children will meet Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster, a wandering mummy, witches, ghosts, werewolves, skeletons, zombies, ghouls, scarecrows, trolls, troublesome pumpkins and plenty of creepy crawlies. Some are trying to frighten you, some are looking for treats, and others are simply causing chaos.

The rhymes are written to be enjoyed aloud, with plenty of repetition, humour and larger-than-life characters. The scares are playful rather than gruesome, making the book a fun Halloween read for children who enjoy things that are spooky without being too frightening.

Once the rhyming is over, there is still plenty to discover. The book includes colouring pages, Halloween word searches, spot-the-difference puzzles and hidden-object challenges, encouraging children to go back through the pages and explore the illustrations again.

A mixture of Halloween storytelling, rhyme, puzzles and activities — all in one book.

Colin The Octopus

in Graveyard Of The Deep, A Fishy Halloween Tale!

Ghosts, Vampires, Zombies & Other Real Sea Creatures.

Colin the Octopus is back — and this time Halloween is about to get seriously spooky!

While trick-or-treating with his friends Coco and Boggle, Colin is persuaded by Gash the Great White Shark to venture alone into the mysterious Graveyard of the Deep. Confident that he isn’t afraid of anything, Colin follows a dangerous route through the ocean, past sharks, whirlpools, giant squid and other hazards, determined to reach the graveyard before midnight.

But when the bells begin to toll and the graveyard comes alive, Colin discovers that being brave is very different from thinking you’re brave. Waiting in the darkness are ghostly, vampire-like and downright strange sea creatures — and the biggest surprise is that many of them are real creatures that actually live in our oceans.

Packed with colourful characters, Halloween humour, underwater adventure and fascinating sea-creature facts, Colin the Octopus in Graveyard of the Deep – A Fishy Halloween Tale is a spooky-but-fun adventure for children aged 6–10.

the Over-Confident Octopus.

Everyone knows octopuses are clever—but what happens when one little octopus becomes a bit too confident in just how clever he is?

In this colourful underwater adventure, children meet Colin, an octopus with an amazing ability to change colour and blend into his surroundings. After successfully fooling other sea creatures, Coco the Clownfish and Boggle the Frogfish, Colin begins to think that nobody in the ocean can outsmart him. But when he decides to test his skills against Gash the Great White Shark, Colin soon discovers that being confident and being over-confident are two very different things.

Along the way, children learn about friendship, camouflage and the importance of believing in yourself without showing off or taking unnecessary risks. After the story, the fun continues with fascinating facts about real octopuses and other sea creatures, plus puzzles, colouring and activities.
